George Shapiro, M.D., FACC

Dr. George Shapiro is Board Certified in Internal Medicine-Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiac Echocardiography, Cardiac CTA and Age Management Medicine. He has been a practicing physician for over 30 years with a diverse background of learning and volunteering activities. He has appeared on radio and television providing his expertise, particularly in the area of Cardiology. In addition, Dr. Shapiro has numerous awards, publications, and patents in his field.

Dr. Shapiro has spent most of his experience in the New York area taking advantage of, as well as providing numerous medical training opportunities a large city can provide.  He has been an important team member of area hospitals and has had his own independent practice.

Education

Dr. Shapiro attended the University of California-San Diego in 1980-1981, then obtained a BS in Biology from the State University of New York (SUNY) in 1982. In 1988, he graduated from New York Medical College, as an MD. Dr. Shapiro interned and became a Resident at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and went onto serve a Fellowship at Columbia University College of Physicians.

Board Certifications

He is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in the areas of Cardiovascular Disease as well as Internal Medicine.He has also been certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
